Your trip into history should start with the History Lesson.

Here you will find accurate information on the German Shepherd Dog Club of
America's disqualification of the "White" German Shepherd.

Click the hyperlink above to read the Lesson and then feel free to explore the research material that has been gathered. Check back often as these pages will be updated daily and new items will be added.

This research had been compiled by Julie Good, AWSA's Conformation Chair. This was done by extensive reading of GSDCA Reviews's (circa 1952-1976), newsletters of the White German Shepherd Dog Club of America (renamed the White German Shepherd Dog Club International) and AWSA newsletters.

Due to this research it can be determined that the colored German Shepherd breeders had to disqualify the whites and they were justified in doing this. This would lead one to conclude that the only option availiable to white fanciers today is...

Complete separation from the German Shepherd Dog and to be recognized as the White Shepherd, a breed apart.
